Device Security & Privacy Disclosure

At SuperBox, transparency, device reliability, and protection of user privacy are essential principles of our business. This disclosure provides information about the Android operating systems used in our devices, how firmware updates are delivered, and the measures we take to maintain a secure and trustworthy hardware environment.

Android Operating System

SuperBox devices run on manufacturer-approved Android-based operating systems that are configured and optimized for smart TV performance, application compatibility, and long-term system stability.

The current models use the following operating system versions:

  • SuperBox S8 Pro / SuperBox S8 Max / SuperBox S8 Ultra — Android 12
  • SuperBox S7 Pro / SuperBox S7 Max / SuperBox S7 Ultra — Android 12

Android 12 provides a stable and responsive operating environment with broad support for compatible applications and everyday home entertainment use. Available features and application compatibility may vary by device model, region, and software version.

Non-Rooted System Architecture

All SuperBox products sold through SuperBoxStoreUSA.com are physical consumer electronics hardware devices. Each device includes a factory-installed, non-rooted Android-based operating system solely to support the normal operation of the hardware.

The operating system is an integrated component of the device and is not sold or licensed as a separate product or service. We do not sell standalone software, digital content, subscriptions, or access to third-party services.

SuperBox devices are supplied in their original factory configuration. The operating system is not rooted, unlocked, or modified before distribution in any manner intended to bypass Android’s built-in security controls.

Maintaining a non-rooted configuration helps protect system integrity, restrict unauthorized access to privileged system functions, and reduce the risks associated with potentially harmful applications.

Official Firmware Distribution

System firmware for SuperBox devices is distributed through official Over-the-Air (OTA) update servers operated by the manufacturer.

Our firmware distribution practices include the following principles:

  • Updates are delivered only through official update channels
  • Firmware packages are verified prior to release
  • Our store does not apply unauthorized system modifications
  • No unapproved third-party APK applications are pre-installed

These measures help ensure that users receive devices with a clean, stable, and secure system environment.

Security Checks & Responsible Distribution

As part of our commitment to responsible product distribution, we conduct random security inspections on device batches before shipment. These inspections help confirm that the system software has not been altered and does not contain malicious programs or hidden backdoor mechanisms.

In addition, we monitor publicly available security research and industry reports concerning Android-based streaming devices. When relevant information becomes available, we review the findings and conduct additional checks when appropriate.

Through these practices, we aim to maintain a distribution process that prioritizes system integrity, user privacy protection, and responsible device security standards.
